hahaha... It's been too long!... Anyways, just an update, i'mma gonna try to upload some stuff before i take off here... Speaking of which. I'll be leaving for Japan on Mar. 13th, w00t! i'm totally stoked for that!

On the other side of the spectrum, i feel like shooting some one at Micro$oft... So yesterday, i got out of school early and went to a really cool and mind boggling seminar at TRU (about the origina of species and involving quantum physics), and after the seminar was over, i ran all the way up to EB Games and got my pre-ordered copy of Halo Wars Limited Edition. I was giddy all the way home and everyone on the bus was giving me a weird look, alas when i got home, i opened the package and popped the disk in and was promptly reminded of the issue that had given me trouble two days earlier... i received the RROD. *cue "dun dun dun" music* i think i had a mini seizure... so anyways, i'm sending my box in and trying over the trauma of it all.

School's keeping me busy and my final art project of last semester was a flop due to a sudden art block.

Hey, hello, hi, how's it going, how you doin', お久しぶり　ですね?

Well i spoke too soon in my last journal about intending to be more regular and uploading a bunch of stuff... It turned out that that i needed to focus on math for the last week i had it, then about 3 days after my digipen introduction course started at TRU, my computer died. Flat out died. ¬_¬ -...

So i'm happy to say that i'm now in school, taking my full on digiPen course and working with my new laptop. I've uploaded a couple things today and there'll be a lot more to come. I'm really happy that i got a new drawing book: スーパー　マンガデッセン!(super manga design) I've been using that and along with my tech course and art classes i've been doing a lot more work. 'How to Draw' books from Japan are so much better than our western rip-offs!!

That's it for now, but i'm going to be accepting art requests here again, so if you'd like to get a request in better hurry cause i've only got room for 3.

Wow this summer has been hectic!
UPDATE (071508): 1500 kiriban challenge below!

Hope everyone had a great Canada Day and Independence Day. i've not been able to get back online like i had planned to this summer.

i ended up going into summer school to try and rush through an entire 11th grade Mathematics course... all because next year i'm planning on doing a DigiPen course at my school. What sucks is the fact that you need grade 12 Principles of Mathematics within the first semester of the course. i had been planning to just do the the grade 11 stuff the first semester and the grade 12 stuff the second semester, but that wasn't going to work. After my summer schooling's done i'll being doing some tutoring for a week at a summer camp for kids. Normally the thing is two weeks, but i'll only be able to help out for the one week, because i'm going into a DigiPen summer workshop at Thompson Rivers University for a couple weeks.
(For those of you who don't know, DigiPen Institute of Technology is located in Redmond near Seattle, Washington and they are considered one of the top leaders in their field. They provide different digital, computer, and technology degrees for people pursuing a career in fields like video game design or digital effects for movies.)
Needless to say, my free-time this summer has flow out the window, across the river, through the woods, under the marsh, up the side of the mountain, over the cliffs and strait into the lake... and it left me behind... やろう...

So! i've scanned some new things i'm just simply trying to find the time to work on them. (Did i mention that i'm also juggling a job with all of this too?) It's fun though. Life only happens once and you gotta make the best of it. My highlight of the summer so far was on Canada Day (that's July 1st for you Yanks that don't know ), it was a really nice and hot day, and it was about 4pm when the wind started to pick up. Within about half an hour, the sky was dark, and the wind was getting really strong. Then, with a crack of lightning, it started to downpour. We ended up getting typhoon class winds and had rain reaching spots that seemed unthinkable. The streets were miniature rivers, and power was going out in a couple parts of the city... That's about the time when i decided, "Hey, i wanna go for a walk! ^v^ " So, out i went; soaked i got; and not a more fantastic day have i had yet this summer. Anyways, that's it for this overdue update, talk to you all again soon!

p.s. i want to apologize for my previous post. With all that's been keeping me busy and a couple other things off to the side, my nerves have been pretty fried, and i finally broke down. i'm doing much better, and thanks for all the prayer. i know it helped. This journal is dang-dog-gone-long over-due for an update.

This's been a crazy school year. Graffiti allover, false fire alarms, a pick-up truck rolling down the street backwards, evac. for bomb threats, and so much more. @_@ I get dizzy just trying to remember all of it. It's been busy and hectic, that's for sure, but I love it. The only thing I don't like is how much of my free time (i.e. being able to work on art on the comp at home) is taken up. >.> I'm taking Japanese again this semester, and a Photoshop design course as well. I've also applied for Digipen's Tech-Academy program, which is a university into course into computer graphics and game design, so I hope I'll be able to get into that next year... Keep your fingers crossed...

Well I've been doing a lot of drawing, and sketching, but the missing factor between being able to scan it, paint it, and post it, is time. *goes to sign petition for 25 hour day* I'm still working on things though, and hopefully I'll have a couple images up real soon. I am however still open to art trades and commissions. If I do get involved with those, then I'll make it a priority to have it up in a timely fasion.

My apologies to all my online friends! I think I've mentioned this before, but this is my first year at a public school, and so it's quite a difference for me than with homeschooling... I'm a Senior this year as well which doesn't help. >_> I've barely been able to get on the computer at all in this last month, but hopefully as I'm starting to settle into a schedual, I'll be able to get on much more. I'm not leaving!

On a different note though, I've been having a great time at school. I've made a bunch of new friends, including a boy from Dubai! My school's an international school, so we have students from Brazil, Germany, Switzerland, France, China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan. ^_^

Well it's 1am, and I'm already extremely sleep deprived, so g'night!

To top it all off, I'm in a bit of an art slump right now. T_T I've got a few pieces going, but I'll probably keep them shelved for the moment. I'll try and get something new up ASAP. I may wait until i get my new laptop first though.
